Timbata

TIMBATA is a 7-piece Afro-Cuban band based in Humboldt County on the Northern California coast, and the repertoire played by TIMBATA includes music from Cuba, Africa, Brasil, the Caribbean, and the United States. TIMBATA's original arrangements pay respect the roots of the Afro-Cuban tradition while pushing the contemporary boundaries of the style, and at their core, they highlight the band members' musical versatility and soloing skills while creating a highly danceable sound with a deep rhythmic groove.
